Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the Supernova-SPARK Program and the Centre of Excellence in New Target Discovery, it is a great pleasure to announce the 1st International Symposium on Drug Discovery in Academia (ISDDA 2016).
The primary goal of this symposium is to provide a forum for timely discussion of the latest findings from leaders in the field of drug discovery and development. As a result, we hope the symposium will foster new ideas and collaborations to accelerate translation. Attendees will hear state-of-art presentations on a broad array of topics, including target identification, high-throughput screen, translating basic research into clinics, academia-industry partnerships and project management. Invited speakers represent world reference institutions in Drug Discovery and Development, including Stanford University, University of Virginia and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), as we further broaden our international scope and partnerships

The planned agenda includes 2 fast-paced sessions during 1 day, set in a forum that promotes the relaxed exchange and discussion of cutting edge research in drug discovery and development.

I hope you will find the symposium an educational experience and a great opportunity to network with scientists from around the world who are dedicated to building healthier lives.
